Welcome to the portfolio site of Erik DeWaal, a seasoned graphic designer and art director based in Sugar House, Utah. With over a decade of experience, Erik has left his creative imprint on a wide array of projects within the advertising and design realms.
Erik graduated from the university of Utah in printmaking. His love for letterpress introduced him to typography and created a lifetime interest in all things type related. He enjoys hand lettering and practices drawing letterforms when ever he gets a chance.
When he steps away from design, Erik enjoys cooking for his family, listening to music, and watching the Utes and Real Salt Lake. Erik believes that Salt Lake is under appreciated and overlooked creatively. His passion for design extends to mentoring and supporting young designers on their creative journeys.
